Rationeligion

Going on with my basic idea - that the stuff that is wrong with me (a typical human) is because evolution never made us to have everything. Its like a camel being made to consume a lot of water- im sure he will be in trouble because his body is made to flourish and thrive in a low water environment.
Human beings are successful when challenged by "not having enough" (necessity -mother of invention) and having to fight for it (self made men/women) or work hard (think of a day you worked hard and achieved much- u slept happy -didnt you?)

And so I have this self-imposed poverty thing going on- and its GREAT!!!!!

then I realized how much my self-imposed poverty resembles religion!! TAKE ANY RELIGION- except maybe satanism, but including shinto, druidry - and it preaches living as one with nature, living without too much materialism, helping those poorer than yourself, self-restraint , being custodians of earth etc

But do i really need God himself (or herself or itself) to tell me that it BLOODY MAKES SIMPLE SENSE NOT TO SCREW THIS ONE PLANET OVER!!! (atleast till we find another suitable one!)

Human beings are moral because it makes sense to be good to others and follow laws. People return the favours and you yourself are safe in a society that follows laws- its all self interest.
